INdustry-aligned certification for future broacast professionals
What Is the BPM Certification?
The BPM Certification is a semester-long, project-based credential that verifies mastery of newsroom coordination, script development, production planning, and live broadcast execution using RundownHQ, the cloud-based newsroom computer system (NRCS) for schools.
It aligns with CTE Media Technology Levels II–IV and the Arts, A/V Technology & Communications Career Cluster, meeting state and Perkins V reporting standards for career readiness credentials.
A Semester of Real-World Broadcast Experience
Students complete the certification across 14–16 instructional weeks (approximately 60–70 total hours) as part of their CTE Broadcast Media program.
Learning follows six progressive newsroom phases:
Orientation & Foundations
Platform Onboarding
Assignment & Workspace Execution
Rundown Building & Crew Scheduling
Production & Live Operations
Post-Production & Certification Review.
Outcome: Students graduate as Certified Broadcast Project Managers—ready to lead stories, manage teams, and deliver on-air productions with professionalism.
